routines

What many successful people in history, artists, business people, athletes, and scientists have in common is that they have a routine they follow regularly. As the word routine is embedded in our language, it evokes a perception in our minds that reminds us to repeat the same things over and over again as "boring". However, routine is what you place in it; Your routine may be to have breakfast at 9 am every morning, to go on a trip abroad every month, or to have a coffee at your favorite cafe every week. The important thing is not what your routine is, but that your subconscious moves steadily with repetitive movements.
I value routines so much in my own life because for me, routines are small, daily or weekly steps that I have to stick to in order to get the life I want and be happy doing it. There are scientific studies that show that happy people tend to follow more routines. Most things that bring true happiness are not just temporary, momentary gratifications, they also come with resistance and require sacrifice. You sacrifice time to fit an action into your routine, and you do it by resisting other actions you're used to. Your habits create your mood, and your mood determines how you experience this life.
For example, meditating every morning, listening to my body and myself for at least five minutes without any other distractions, even if I don't have time, is an important step in my morning routine. In this way, my habit of opening my mind with meditation every morning affects my general mood positively, and this positive mood is reflected in my work and my relationships with my environment to a great extent.
Likewise, skin care is a kind of meditation for me every morning and evening. Because while doing my skin care, I listen to myself, look at my face and skin in the mirror and choose to accept it as it is. Giving it what's healthy for my skin makes me happy and I see long-term results as I make this a routine. So I enjoy not only the results, but the process as well.
You feel satisfied as the routine constantly reaffirms a decision you've already made. Let's say you want to learn a new language, no matter how long it takes to be able to speak that language fluently, incorporating learning 5 new words every day into your routine and following it constantly will also prove your ability to do it. You are free to create your routines with what is healthy for you in line with your own life, lifestyle and vision. The important thing is to simply follow these routines.
My ideal routine starts from the moment I get up in the morning for a day; When I wake up, I first get rid of toxins by cleaning my mouth, teeth and tongue. Then I move on to my skincare routine. Knowing that I value myself with products that are healthy for my skin, I invest in my skin in front of the mirror. This stage not only gives me happiness by reminding me of the long-term change I will see in my skin by taking time for myself in the morning, but also increases the awareness between me and my skin as I do it consciously. Then, with dry body brushing, I stimulate the nervous systems and awaken my body. I come to the moment by awakening my mind with meditation, and then I balance the soul, body and mind by doing yoga. I discovered that this routine is the ideal routine to start a day for me because after following these steps, I start the day with a happier, fitter and more aware and plan my day this way.
Apart from my morning routines, I also have routines that I follow on a weekly basis. Activities that I see as an investment in myself, such as going to the gym 3 days a week, walking in the open air 3-4 days a week, and that allow me to get together with my mind and body, even if for a short time, away from the stress of daily life.
These are steps that are of great value in my self-care, because although I follow a routine, every day is different for me, like everyone else. So routine for me is not about eating the same food every day, applying the same cream or using the same product every day. By changing these in small proportions every day, I act according to what my skin, soul and body needs that day. While some days I think that heart-opening yoga experiences will be better for me, I prefer a faster vinyasa in the mornings when I wake up energetic. For my skin, depending on the day, if I feel the need for moisture, my hand goes to my blue serum. If I get acne periodically, I want to use my yellow series that day. If I woke up with a low mode, I keep my face massage with natural stones a few minutes longer in my routine that morning. By listening to my body within the framework of my routine, I give what I need at that moment.
